Palm Treo 800w BAD ESN

Hi,
Sprint says BAD ESN, so cannot activate,
Now need to flash it for using other network,
Any HELP

Is the ESN# bad or just active??

I succeded and can activate it thru my carrier here in Indonesia, what you should have for activating is the following:
1 - Official PRL of your carrier
2 - Flash the PRL with QPST
3 - Obtain MIN & A-Key when subscribe to that carrier
4 - Flash those MIN & A-key using uniCDMA or CDMA workshop

note on no.4, you should change your first 20 number of A-key (Dec from actually 26 numbers A-Key) into 16 numbers/character of Hex. Using CDMA workshop will do.

Done all, but my carrier is not ready to activate as this esn is not in there database.
Need to change ESN ,

think noone currently able to repair/change the ESN for this devise. been search all the web. If this ESN never been activated by your carrier, arent u just register the ESN to be listed into their system?
The only missing now on my treo 800w is how to enable the web to use my carrier's cellular line (instead sprint vision power keep popping) event the setting already matched my carrier's setup. Do u know how to disable it? one user say can, contact him thru pm & his thread, but no answer..

You need to replace IotaApp.exe in windows directory,
it is not visible thru normal explorer
you need to install resco explorer and overwrite same file with 0KB file,
then sprint provision will not pop up while internet connection.
If any things goes wrong you can hard reset you device and IotaApp.exe will come back as it is an ROM file.

This method is tested 100% by me.

but i am still waiting for solution for ESN change, it is necessary for me.

Thanks. I did that. yes, that sprint vision no longer pop up when i try to connect to i-net. But still, the device stated "Dialed: #777, the answering modem has disconnected. Check your setting" and it stop there, so WAP is disable. Is there any tweak aside above I should know? Note: I create the 0 kb of IotaApp.exe using one *.txt document and rename to IotaApp.exe. Is that correct?
