Re: Going from a Touch Pro to 800W... rough...
I use both the 800w and the Touch Pro. I agree with your assessment, although I don't mind my using my 800w as much as you seem to.
I really love the feel and keyboard of the 800w, but I pretty much prefer everything else about the Touch Pro. |

Re: Going from a Touch Pro to 800W... rough...
Do you have two different numbers assigned to each of the phones or are they both programmed with the same number?
I changed the screen to RealVGA and 96 DPI. Makes it a little better. |

Re: Going from a Touch Pro to 800W... rough...
Why couldn't you just use an on screen keyboard on your TP for one handed use? Even with the keyboard up the remaining screen space would only be slightly smaller than on the 800w.

Re: Going from a Touch Pro to 800W... rough...
I wouldn't work for a company who is okay for its employees who want one handed operation of their phone while driving. Obviously not concerned with safety as much as productivity. My previous would terminate people for violating this policy. I would definetely use voice dialing while driving and not text unless stopped.

Re: Going from a Touch Pro to 800W... rough...
Im not sure I agree.... I have all three, and I like the feel of my 800w the best...The TP keyboard transition lag is horrible, and you have to upgrade Roms to make it usable....The TreoP is nice but its wayyyy to slick and a Seido case that makes it feel like the 800w also makes it too big for the desktop chargers...Out of the box I prefer the Treo devices, and the 800w suits my work environment better...

Re: Going from a Touch Pro to 800W... rough...
I picked on of these up "new", sent by Assurion to someone who placed it on craigslist everything still in the bags.
I'm actually pretty impressed with the phone. Not as bulky or heavy as I thought they were. While the screen isn't too sensitive, it takes a press unlike what I've become use to, there's no lag. The system seems really "tweaked". The keyboard is marvelous for one handed typing. No multimedia capability really, Tried the youtube app, but it's a solid device for sure.

Re: Going from a Touch Pro to 800W... rough...
The 800w is a great device as long as you don't install too much on it. My device landed fell on my bike then to the ground. My screen hit the bike pretty hard and ruined the screen protector but the screen only had a ding. I applied a new screen protector and I barely notice anything and the touchscreen still works. It's a great device.
