Re: Typing on Treo Phones

I hope you like the Treo, but I am sticking with my ROM cooking ability over the keyboard.

Don't mean to derail the thread but you're saying it's impossible to cook ROMs for Treos? I'm not a chef but I do enjoy flashing to custom ROMs if the stock ROM is too bloated (when are they not?). I thought I heard people talking about ROMs for the Treo Pro somewhere on XDA. Maybe I'm mistaken.

The latest I've heard is that they've only got a rom dump. No kitchen, no custom roms. It would be a boom for the phone if they were to get that started.

Back on topic.
I had a 6700 and loved the keyboard. Moved to a Centro for a month, then to my 800w. The 800w seems huge compared to the Centro and only took me a week or two to adjust to the Centro from the 6700. The Treo Pro is very similar to the Centro except the Treo Pro is a tiny bit bigger and spread out a tiny bit more, enough to make a difference. Its still not as easy to use the 800w keyboard but its easy to use, once you get the hang of it. The biggest different between the Treos and Touch Pro is that you can use the Treos with one hand and still farily quickly. Its possible to do that with the Touch Pro but not very convenient.
