TReo 800

Im new and not very knowlegable with PDA's and to this site so hopefuly you can help me. With my treo the ringer volume is low and I know about volume care but i don't want to pay $36 for it so i was wondering if there is any other and free volume inhancer for the 800 and also when i sync my device my message tone returns to the default and I have to master reset the phone to set another message tone....
