Re: text messaging gone from my 800!
Or try deleting the PalmMsgVol001 (I think that's it) file from the Windows directory.

Re: text messaging gone from my 800!
Thanks for your help all!
I went ahead and did the hard reset (I had tried soft reset already) and while it did fix the problem it erased all installed apps and my today settings, etc. Not sure if I did something wrong? My notes and contacts made it, that would have made me lose it once and for all. TXTs still all gone. Next time I could try the other trick mentioned... didn't see that in time. It once again reminded my how much better the Palm OS syncs compared to active sync. I felt like sticking with Palm OS was like staying on a leaking ship. At least I could sync, hard reset, and re-sync to get my Treo 700p back. I am sure there is some 3rd party way to preserve the settings but the Palm just worked- asking which personality to sync with while Wondoze just created a new device and synced certain stuff back over. In fact, in general, even after waiting until 6.1, WM has not impressed me. The lack of 320x320 stuff is annoying, I will just stop there. BTW, I never did TXT Jill again, the moment p*****, and now I gotta set up my dang launcher etc. again. LOL Anyway, no phone is perfect and the 800w is in general a functioning unit with a great form factor. As a stock follower, Palm seems to be still struggling even though the Centro has been big, I do hope they can survive and continue the great work. Hope this thread can help others in da future.... -Mischa |

Re: text messaging gone from my 800!
The same thing happened to me a lil while ago and I was mildly freaking out lol. Removing the pammsgvoo1 has worked for me so far and I did not do a hard reset yet. Thanks again everyone!
