by the way i did both speed tests on speedtest.net i also test my connection card and i was getting the same speed as the 800w revA

Speed test with my 800w tethered to my work desktop running XP and Firefox.

From Speakeasy.net:
Download Speed: 752 kbps (94 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 340 kbps (42.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

speedtest with my U727 connection card.

Cee, no big difference from Dannz's, 800w's not that bad as a modem.
WOW, exact same upload speed too, hhmm.

I feel that I should warn you, the stereo headphones that come with the 800w might not satisfy an audiophile. And, there are not many upgrade options since the 800w only has the micro usb port. An alternative that I have not explored is the bluetooth stereo headphones. I figure you can get better quality BT headphones but running both the bluetooth and cellular radios simultaniously may tank the 800's battery.

Good luck finding the right device.

djjffa the 800w streams fine. I use PocketTunes all the time all over Philly to stream internet radio. Sometimes if I'm in an elevator It'll get a little choppy, but ohwell.......

Anyone listening to mp3 audio, especially any streaming audio shouldn't be worried about audio quality. Whats the best streaming radio available? 256kb/s? The majority I have seen are either 64 or 128, so it doesn't really matter if your headphone were free or $500, its going to sound the same with such a crappy source.
