Is the treo 800w considered buggy?

Hi,

I got mine and I'm missing phone calls. I'm getting accused of screening calls. There's no pattern to this. Also missing alarms. They don't go off at all sometimes, but i localized that to opera mobile.

Now I really don't have much extra software, but sometimes i don't hear phone calls and just see a voicemail icon or the ringer volume is super low. Sprint stores were as predicted of zero help.

Re: Is the treo 800w considered buggy?

since july. kept waiting for a software update, etc, but none has ever come. i've seen on treo central that some people complain of missed calls, but no definite fixes and wondering if it's even an acknowledged issue. Other than that, the treo 800w has been a dream. that said, can someone tell me if the touch pro is just as fast or faster than the 800w? b/c once you experience the speed of a treo 800w, you won't stand for anything slower.

Re: Is the treo 800w considered buggy?

Check your settings for Activesync (If using Exchange) and if your Email accounts are automatically downloading your mail. I live in a non-EVDO area, so if Activesync is performing a "heartbeat" then a call will go straight to voicemail. In fact, all data in a 1X network will send calls to voicemail.

Also, I finally figured out that I was setting my ringer volume incorrectly... I was just using the volume control from the today screen to go up and down. When you do that, only the volume control on the right moves up/down, you need to use your finger/stylus and adjust the control on the left in order for the ringer volume to go up.
