Shift key + scroll pad = select text on a Treo Pro?
I try to select text using the shift key and selecting with the scroll bar on my Treo Pro but it doesn't do it. Is this usual with all WM devices or is it a bug on the Treo Pro?

I would say it is normal. Although I don't think that I've tried it till just now and I've had different PPC's for around 4 years. I have always pulled the stylus over what I needed, highlighting it. Tap and hold on the selection until a pop up menu appears and either copied or cut the text.

It's WM behaviour. If you want to immitate Palm OS behaviour, go to mobiion website & find MagicKB. It's like Keycaps for WM & you can set the shift dpad behaviour.

Any text that auto highlights for example if you are editing a contact as you scroll down you will see that certain items will be highlighted. On those items you can hold the center button on the d-pad will bring up the Cut, Copy, and paste menu.
