Threaded Text Message Limit

I recently upgraded from the Treo 700wx to the Treo 800w, so far I'm happy with the upgrade. However, on my Treo700wx I installed a threaded message application (I actually think it was Palm's threaded message application hacked for the 700wx, but it's been so long I forget). When I texted on my 700wx if my message exceeded 160 characters it let me keep typing and then sent it in multiple messages. On the 800w, I'm limited to 160 characters.

While it's not a huge hassle to send a text and keep typing, when sending long messages it can get irritating. Does anyone know if there's a way to type a message longer than 160 characters and have the phone send it in multiple messages?

Use a registry editor and navigate to this:
HKLM\software\palm\varnish\messaging\sms
MaxPartsPerMsg to 10 (from 1)
