Sprite backup restart problem

Has anyone applied the new battery and usb patches and then experienced the Treo freezing on reset when using Sprite backup on Vista 32 bit? I have to unhook the device and remove the battery let it reboot before reconnecting the cable to get the backup to run.

Re: Sprite backup restart problem

I'm having the same problem... I have Sprite set to automatically backup to SD card at like 4am. My phone is plugged into the wall charger. It goes to restart before the backup, and then freezes on the WM 6.1 loading screen until morning.

In the morning, when I see that it's locked, I pull the battery, it restarts, and then runs the backup successfully.

I have wiped/reloaded the phone several times, but this keeps happening. Funny thing is, it happened with SPB automatic backups too?

Re: Sprite backup restart problem

Communicated with Sprite and purchased update 6.2.2 and still have the problem. I wonder if it is being caused by the USB palm update?

Re: Sprite backup restart problem

I use this program once a week with no issues are you sure you don't have a program installed on the storage card that might be causing this issue. This sounds like an issue with something on the storage card trying to load during start up.

Re: Sprite backup restart problem

Nope - Sprite is included in the official ROM, so it is installed to the device. I can run a backup just fine, without errors - it's only when plugged in and charging that it freezes.

Re: Sprite backup restart problem

I don't think it's Sprite's fault as it does it if you just do a soft reset while plugged in. Of course you have to use a program to do the soft reset while plugged which is supposedly different than the reset done by removing the battery.
