Alarm Problem

Hello all, i did a search and didn't find anyone else with this problem.

Of course I have the 800w and love this phone but for the life of me I cannot get the alarm to work... I set the sound to repeat but it does not make any sound at all... Anyone else run into this problem?

Re: Alarm Problem

first try a hard reset without restoring any backups. also make sure the hardware switch is not on vibrate. also make sure that you have selected an alarm sound before you set the alarm or reminder up. also check an see if the volume is turned up

Re: Alarm Problem

Thanks for the tips. im a little lazy to hard reset just because of all the little mods i have done. I set the alarm and sat there to test it out. It flashes and vibes but no sound. It wasnt on mute and all volumes are up... i'll test it on another phone and see what happens.

Re: Alarm Problem

It's been my experience with two different 800w's that a hard reset does fix the problem with the alarm sounding. It sucks, but it's worth it to make it work.

Re: Alarm Problem

My phone aas the same problem. What I do, after the backup is done, I run MemMaid to clean the memory, then AlarmFixWM to remove duplicate alarm entries (they never seem to get all caught up with by MemMaid or pmFix), execute a soft reset and then re-enable the alarms - works fine. Do not do it and it does not work fine.

Re: Alarm Problem

Took an hour to get it back up and running, but that worked! Thanks!

Now, on to finding how to disable the two internet prompts in JAVA when using Opera Mini...

Re: Alarm Problem

once you have installed JAVA, when you goto the opera mini website click on the link that says "if this version failed to install" and select one of the signed versions, it will let you default your selection to "always allow"
