Orb

Anyone else out there using orb for streaming? Overall it's working really nice on my new 800, just trying to figure out how to get a bigger picture on the screen, it's kind of small when streaming TV, but looks a bit better when I'm streaming video that's converted to 480x600 (or whatever it is I forget, I'm tired and heading to bed)

Maybe there is anotehr media player of some sorts that will play my streaming media and give it a nice "big" picture

Re: Orb

You mean 480x640?

Re: Orb

640x480 actually...

More of less I want a more normal size stream, maybe a different player will work better is there such a thing for mobile 6.1? I think the issues lies in the stream being streamed at certain with, like 320, but that makes the height like a 1/3 of the screen.

Talking Re: Orb

Don't mind me I'll just keep talking to myself.....
Maybe it'll help someone else out....

Been running ORB for sometime now, but I just got the TREO, when I first streamed TV or video for that matter, I would get something less than full screen, let's face it the screen isn't that big, I want to use it all. As I was thinking last night my setting in ORB have me using "FFDshow video recorder", and there in lies my solution, FFD show does all the dirty work reformatting the stream, so I was able to go in and change in the configurations under the Resize & aspect tab I changed it to resize to 320X320 and then I had to select No aspect ration correction hit apply and I'm set, I have full screen 320X320 streaming TV. ( I live with the aspect ration being a bit off, it's not that bad, other wise you could leave the "orginal aspect ratio" button check and you'll get something like 320X240 which isn't too bad either) I also selected resize if greater the 640x480, and I believe that will not effect the streams of cartoons I resized for my daughter that we play on the Wii, they should play as normal, and it'll resize it for my phone.

The only downside to this option is streaming on to another computer will probably have a small screen, unless I can teach the wife how to undo my work when I'm not at home (stay at home mom)

Hopefully that helps someone else, I can end my quest for a different player, Windows Media player will do for now.

Re: Orb

Actually I did download Kinoma, but I'm really close to deleting it thus far it hasn't proved to really do anything better than media player or the picture viewer, in fact it doesn't seem to be able to handle any streaming video of any sorts... Still waiting to see if there is any reason to keep it. I may try out that tcmp of whatever it's called next that might do what I additionally want out of another player.
