A lil help with my 800w waking up...constantly

This site has got to be one of the most informative sites I have come across. I was able to get some good programs as well as Keylight feature to save on some battery power. Anyway, I was originally having some issues with not being able to open up any pics that were being sent to me, or able to access the internet, I was only able to do this on WiFi. Well, I did a hard reset on the phone, which other than losing all my contacts worked like a charm. Now I have pics coming up and internet access without being on WiFi. So, heres my problem. Since doing the hard restart the phone constantly wakes up when I put it on standby. It goes all dim, then within a minute or two or sometimes seconds, it wakes itself up, then it goes back to sleep, then wakes up. I am unable to do anything to stop it, and I dont want it to kill my battery. Can anyone provide any help on this, I would very much appreciate it, thanks again to all the PPCGeeks, and to anyone that can help to correct this problem.

If you open the task manager, do you have anything running? Another possibility could be a stuck button. Not necessarily "hard" stuck but maybe a lower resistance than normal or possibly something spilled in it causing sporadic connections.

Then again, it could be the phone flaking out. If it happens often enough you could take it to a Sprint store and show them the problem.

I will bet that you have Opera 9.5 installed, and it is running in the background. Make sure you exit out of opera. There appears to be a bug. I have seen this, and have talked to a couple others on treo central who have seen this..

Re: A lil help with my 800w waking up...constantly

Hey guys thank you very much. I think I isolated the problem. I installed the touch program for my keypad. well, actually.... I did a soft reset and the constant waking up went away. Well, when I activated it again, the wake feature still showed up. So I think that was condusive to the problem. I went to the programs menu and deleted the file, and low and behold, it doesn't keep waking up. If anything else happens to where it comes back, I'll take it back to sprint to get it checked out. Thanks again guys.
