simple weather panel?

Im looking for a very simple weather panel that I can basically access from the home screen, without hacks and without having to download different themes. Is there anything simple.

Thanks appreciated

There are many different weather apps. WeatherPanel is sort of free. It does require payment and I think, activation, but the developer no longer can be heard from and I think there is a code you can use to make it a full version.

I like using the Sbp Travellers weather on the Today screen.

As far as skins, it all depends on the individual. If you don't like the way it looks, then you change it, via the skins. I like the way Spb Traveller looks and it has many configs for displays. Also, the nice thing about Spb Traveller is that it has tools like currency conversion, length conversion, etc. You can just get Spb Weather, which is strictly a weather only app.

Re: simple weather panel?

WeatherPanel does NOT require payment. It is free. There are also some extremely nice skins for WP (check them out in the Weather Panel themes sub-forum).

There is a thread in the Software Forum that discusses the latest and greatest WP features and offers a free download.

Coz

Re: simple weather panel?

Weather panel is great but was a little buggy on my phone. Radar maps wouldn't always show up correctly (sometimes showing Utah instead of Texas, even though I had Texas selected), other times it wouldn't show it at all. I'll give it a try later.

For now, I'm using Elecont Weather which is normally $14.95 but on sale for $9.95 at Treonauts until Aug 31st. It doesn't have radar maps but I've been using weather underground for those times I need them.

You know that with WP that you can use ANY image (jpg or gif) for you radar/images?

The problems with radar images is not a WP problem but rather a problem with your source url.

Yeah, I was going to try that. Weatherbug has the perfect radar map that I use but the URL is quite long. I copied it but could find no way to paste it into the Weather Panel URL box. I didn't see any "edit, paste" command. Is there a shortcut similar to CTRL V as used in windows?

The only other option would be to manually type it in. Worst case I'll give that a try.

If you hook up your ppc to your pc via ActiveSync, etc., you can easily add/edit url's in the radar text file.

No need to type it in through WP on your ppc.
