You probably already did both of these, because it would be just obnoxious to have started another topic about this issue without having done them first... but just in case!

Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Wireless Manager -> Bluetooth Off
Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Beam -> Uncheck "Receive all incoming beams"

Battery life should improve for you. If your phone actually isn't charging when it's plugged in, you need to get Sprint to replace it for you because that's very obviously a defective unit.

dude, i totally know what you mean. i'm on mines all day and i basically keep it plugged in the car whenever i'm not using it due to the everlasting fear of having it die on me while on a call or something. the phone needs some good old fashion rom updates with key fixes of these little tedious problems. just hang in there.

Yeah, I'd RMA that sucker. I just made it through a day (moderate text, a little bit of data usage) with 85% remaining.
