Removing back cover....

I know that previous Treos had torx screws at each corner of the case. Anyone know how to get the rear part of the case (the part surrounding the chrome piece on the back) off the phone?

Re: Removing back cover....

Why do you want that off? I can show how to take a door knob off though.

Re: Removing back cover....

ok this is tricky. you can damage the housing if your not careful, i was able to get it all apart though. we use what we call the "guitar pick", something very thin but sturdy to pry the side of that back housing up and carefully just follow it all the way around the top and to the other side. or if you want u can pop up a corner down by the battery cover and pry it up from the bottom up. either way just be careful doing it, it can damage the phone or even break that back housing if your not careful.

This helped. I was having a hard time getting this piece off. I had to take mine apart to clean beer out of it (Doh!). One thing I would like to add is that the corner opposite the stylus is especially difficult, might want to pop this one off first...
