How do I get my calls to sound clearer

I mean I can barely make out what people are saying sometimes, is there a hack, or optimal setting for better clarity on calls.

I'm not sure what type of hack would be possible but I second this one...the volume/sound on the handset and even in the wired hands-free sounds like straight basura.
