New phone blues

As I read the threads, I see famillar problems. I am on my 3rd unit and deactivated it 1 week ago.

I love my Treo phones.

My question is are the problems being worked on or do I return the phone.

Problems experianced by me.

1st phone : Camera did not work
2nd phone : Operator error [enough said!]
3rd phone : Battery indicator problems

All phones: The bluetooth volume does not stick, the ringer is very low and hard to hear in an enclosed case, the GPS is very slow to connect, the Live Search works when it wants to. [for a short time it wanted me to relogon with my U: & PW:

I would love to know that these problems are fixable. For now I'm on my 700p.

Re: New phone blues

I have had no problems with my 800. It has minor issues. I too have the blutooth volume issue, but do not consider it enough of a hassle to get rid of the phone. Just hit the side volume and turn it up. As far as the volume in a case, there is a registry hack on here to fix that: HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories/Ring, Change the AttenuationCategories Value to 4 and then the side volume phone setting to 4. Tried 5, but was way to loud and distorted.
The rest does sound like a bad unit. I have had no issues with my GPS or Live Search.

Re: New phone blues

I don't want to go backwards ... just feel the unit is still too buggy.

How do I get into the registry?

Re: New phone blues

Hrm, I wonder about that GPS. Mine always connects in under 20 seconds perfectly, even after a restart.
