You need to hold the "OK" button down for a little more than 3 seconds. The task manager will pop up and then use the right soft key "MENU" and "E" and then press the center "OPTIONS" button. It will close all programs.

Re: What are you using to make the X-button close programs?

I actually do all my installs within the device.

Here's one of the small things that I find thats at fault.

While tman is running, click on settings -> connections -> bluetooth app -> printer tab -> then press "ok" to close.

let me know if you guys are getting an error report (shell32.exe) right after. can anyone explain this?

Not the X, the OK button brings up the task manager. I use QuickMenu which displays the active applications when the Windows button/icon is tapped, select the application via the cursor and then the right on the 5-way to close an application.

Re: What are you using to make the X-button close programs?

Hey guys, just wanted to follow up the comments about using the palm built in manager.
A faster way to access the built-in app is to hold down the option button and hit "ok"

This opens the palm task manager instantly, but I don't like the palm application because it will not perform a soft-reset.

One other nice feature of the 800w is that there are many more button combinations that can be assigned to programs using the buttons panel in settings than most other WM devices. You can use 3rd party soft for this purpose of course, such as AE button plus, but this is a nice touch on the 800w.
