does your usb cable work as a car charger?

with my mogul i was able to use the usb cable to charge in the car using a cigarette usb adapter. with the treo, i tried to plug in my cable to my usb cigarette adapter, but it wont charge..does it work for anyone, or does it look like i have to start buying new accessories?

Yea same here. It works but you have to position the usb cabel just right into the adaptor or else it disconects. And when you do get the 800w to recognize that its charging it charges at a very slow pace. Were all better off just buying the actual chager unfortunatly.

Same problem here. It's not your cable.

Chargers that work with Mogul or Touch won't necessarily work with Moto V3, RAZR2 or 800w. The latter require more power from the charger, apparently.

BTW, I've found that Moto RAZR2 chargers (or V3 chargers with mini-USB to micro adapter) work fine with 800w, and you can get them relatively cheaply on eBay.

Couldn't get mine to work either... planning for a trip I had to break down and get a charger for it. Went into the Sprint store (closer than any BB/CC/RS stores). Purchased a charger and they threw in 2 spare batteries as well. Now only if there was a way to charge more than on battery at a time, I might just be set.

I found that the Walmart Duraband Moto Razor car charger works. It only costs $10.
