Question Sound through headset

This is something I've ALWAYS wanted ever since I saw that my aunt's Motorola Q did this. My Treo 700wx couldn't do this nor transfer Caller ID information to my headset. Now that I have the 800w I was expecting this and at least got the Caller ID information through the headset but no option to get media through the headset. HOWEVER I was just playing around with Sprint TV watching CNN and I was wondering what would happen if I pressed on my headset's connect button. To my surprise I started getting the sound through my headset! This goes away after Voice Command times out though and the sound goes back to the phone's speaker.

I seem to remember there was some program around here that would keep this connection active. I think it was this one:

Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Sound through headset

I think if you disable voice command, that it will not time out. My HTC worked that way, haven't tried it on my Treo.

What I mean to say is, if the bluetooth is not assigned to any program, then it's default action is to pipe the devices audio through the headset. As far as I know this feature does not time out.

Re: Sound through headset

Well I gave what I described a shot on my Treo 800w with my Scala-500 and it didn't work. Used to work on my HTC Apache with the same headset, but that was Windows Mobile 5.0. Maybe they've change the default action for the bluetooth button or maybe my headset is not fully compatable with the 800w.

My voice command is not working with my bluetooth either. What the crap! I've got to many issues of my own to help you man!

Re: Sound through headset

I'll probably just try that program I listed a little later. I'm pretty sure it had some sort of utility included that permanently directed all sound to the headset which is all I would need.

Re: Sound through headset

YES! Just installed that IDTransfer program and tapped on the audio shortcut that gets added to the start menu and now I have audio coming from the phone into the headset while watching Sprint TV. I can't get the program to exit though...unless I make or receive a call. Waiting for Bad Sector to respond to see if he'll do something about exiting that.
