help with manageing contacts

hey i am new to having a windows mobile phone and having trouble managing contacts.

i currently use thunderbird and have been for a long time. havent used outlook in a very long time.

does anyone know if there is an easier way than taking contacts from thunderbird into outlook then synce phone.

i was wondering if there is just an address book file on the phone that i could manually edit thru computer or copy over.

any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

thanks

Re: help with manageing contacts

Would you consider going to your Address Book in Thunderbird then Tools and export your contacts to a CSV to then import into Outlook?

Re: help with manageing contacts

yeah right now thats what i am doing but kinda of a pain.

i was hoping that there was some way of accessing the contact file on the phone and add stuff to it so i can bypass outlook all together.

but thanks for replying.

Re: help with manageing contacts

How are you planning on keeping your phone in sync after you get your contacts sorted? You might look at that first and see if it offers a better way of importing Thunderbird - if you're not going to use Outlook anyway. (I can't find an acceptable way around it.)

Re: help with manageing contacts

right now i just have too keep track of it manually because it wont synce with thunderbird, only outlook.

i was hoping someone konws of what file the contacts are kept in then i can just manually update that file on the phone. its windows so it has to have a address book or contact file of some sort.

cant find it yet.

i will try out dashwire

thanks for the replys
