Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

Ok can someone pass along how they are setting it up? I have used this previously and not had any problems but I cannot seem to connect via my laptop. It shows up but there is just no actual service:
Which Settings are you using?
Wifi Network: Dynamic, Stored,None
Next step: Ad-Hoc, None
Next: WEP/OPEN, None
So with those steps could someone palss along what they are choosing?
Thanks

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

the wifi router DOES most definetly work on the 800w. you need the version 1.20 though which can be obtained at www.wmwifirouter.com. It works really well at that! I'm very happy with the product --- Gabe

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

I use the WM WIFI ROUTER on my 800w everyday. It never crashes. The only problem I have is that I leave my phone on to recieve calls and the reconnect is a little troublesome. I think I am using the 2.0 version.

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

how are you getting this to work? I installed it with the wifi on. it gives me the same name you guys have. some poeple say to turn off internet sharing and some say to go back in and turn it back on. I have done both and nothing. No errors or anything like that, I CANNOT find the access point with my laptop but I can find it with my wii. Once i connect it with my wii, I say ok to the connection test and then iot will not get any internet signal. I'm using 0.89

I guarantee you're not using 2.0 because the latest release to my knowledge is 1.25

It may be the version you're using I haven't used that old of a version on my 800w. I'm using 1.25 and it works just fine. Give it a shot and see if that works for you. If it does, its more than worth it to pay for it.

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

I tried the 1.25, my laptop would not read it... went to my friends house and his did find it. he connected and ran fine... went back to my laptop and nothing! The main reason for this is trying to get my Nintendo Wii connected. My Wii will find the access point but it will not connect for some reason... and IDEAS?

Re: WM WIFI ROUTER work on treo 800w?

steps to try:

first try client connecting your treo to your router does that work?
next factory reset your device.
then install wmwifirouter 1.25.

if you can't get it to work then your wii and or your computer are messed up/improperly configured.

(are they set to search for ad-hoc?)
