Updated: 02/05 - NO LONGER WORKING on Sprint - Real Picture Mail (PicMail, MMS)

First let me say hello to all, definate newbie here. Have been watching this site for a few weeks and have never posted to any site before. I'm frustrated enough to share hoping that someone smarter than myself can figure this out.

I have had the 700WX since the end of May. I installed the MMS hack on June 29th and everything was working great untill 10 days ago. Now when I try to send picture mail I get "Message delivery failed or message receipt failed". I have not done the 1.15 rom update. My phone did have some problems ( I think it was possesd) and the tech at Sprint did a hard reset on it last week. (picture mail was not working before the hard reset) Since the hard reset it has only sent picture mail twice. Each time I was in a Digital Roaming area. Once I am not roaming it does not work. I know, sounds weird but I would like to know if anyone else has noticed the same thing.

I got the same msg when i tried sending pic mail out yesterday and today i'm not sure what's wrong but i'm having the same issue or the same error msg as the person quoted above. Can anyone help please?

ok well i finally tracked down the program on my phone and deleted it so i can start from scratch... i guess i'll wait to hear something from the experts before i do anything... thanks

I think it might be some sprint network/vision hiccups. A few things to try. After install, make sure to do a soft reset of phone! Do this my removing rear cover and depressing reset button with stylus.

1) Do a soft reset
2) Take your picture and close out of pics/vids. Go to IE or whatever and make sure you get a vision connection. Close IE browser.
3) Go to Messaging, use the left/right arrows to scroll till you see MMS in title.
4) You get 2 options, select New Pix Message
5) Tap to insert photo. Select and insert photo.
6) In "To" field, tap and select recipient from address book.
7) Type message in "insert text here" field
Click send.

Hope this helps those asking how to send. If it fails, keep selecting retry.

Oh. well that means it's not the update. i was thinkin it might have been the update. because it was the first time i tried to send picture mail after the update and it doesn't work now.

yea my pic mail is down also i have uninstalled reinstalled about 5 times just today tweaked the settings also to what it should be still no luck ... i hope it comes back up

Well at least there is an answer! some of us thought we were going nutts.. thanks for the update, i just quit worring about it, it was fun while it lasted for some of us...
