I don't know how to get the settings right for Alltel so I don't think it's possible.

downloading without using pc

Hello. I am new downloading programs to my treo. Is there a way I can download this program without the use of a pc. I am on vacation and I don't have a pc available. Thanks!

Yes you can. First you will need a Registry program such as Resco or Total Commander. You use PIE to access the site, download the zip file on the first post. Use Resco or Total Commander to unzip the file and then install the CAB file within. Badda Bing.

This app is a .cab file, meaning it will only install FROM your device itself.

Download the file to your PC, extract the .zip file, then connect your device to your PC, click on Explore on Activesync, copy the .cab file, paste it on your storage card or My Documents on your device, and finally run it FROM the device using the File Explorer.

Hi. I'm new to my treo and to this site. I have downloaded the file to my pc and have my treo currently connected with ActiveSync. Once I click "Explore", how exactly am dragging and dropping the file to the device or copying and pasting it as instructed? I'm sorry. This is my 1st time syncing and I'm lost.

I downloaded the zip file and extracted the cab file. I have Vista on my laptop, so I'm using WMDC and not ActiveSync, and I can't seem to copy the cab file to my Treo 700wx.

When I have WMDC open, I click on File Management, but it only gives me the option to browse the contents of my phone. When I just go thru a regular windows explorer window and try to copy and paste the cab file to my Treo, it won't allow me to paste.

If I go into the cab file and click on the setup file, I get a browser window that doesn't see my Treo.

What am I missing here? Oh, and I'm a total newbie to the Treo.

Thanks!!

If you have questions on how to install software onto your new device, check out the following links:

For Vista users:

Thanks for the links. I was able to get the file pasted to my Treo, however, this only worked once. When I downloaded another application and followed the same steps, I couldn't paste the app to my Treo.

I do have another computer here with WinXP, so I've installed activesync on that computer and will use that one for application downloads.

I installed the .cab followed the above instructions and I get a message stating that one or more of the recipients isn't a valid address do I want to continue. Am I missing a step? I own a sprint treo 700wx phone.

I got that same error after I installed the cab file. You have to do a soft reset, and then it will work like a charm!!

I insist on performing a soft-reset after any installation.
