I'm probably missing something but if this works on the ATT 8525 shouldn't it possibly work on a Treo? Isn't the 8525 the HTC TyTn or whatever, another Windows Mobile device. Has anyone tried it?
Edit: I see that they want you to declare your Carrier and Model. I wonder what happens if you lie and say you have a 8525, I'll try it and see. |

Citi Mobile
I have never used their "mobile" site. I've always used PIE to do online banking straight from my Treo with Citibank. Just go to this site:
https://web.da-us.citibank.com If you are sent to a page where it will tell you your browser/OS will not work - just scroll down and hit the "Continue" button. At some point when the next page finishes loading it may prompt you to accept the certificate, click "Yes". Then scroll almost all the way down and you'll see a user name and password box. Just type in your Citi Online banking user name and password and it will then nicely display a slew of info including your last visit, and all your account summaries. And from there you can click on all of your accounts for more info, and do payments/transfers, etc... While it's probably not a swift as their "mobile" site it still works fine for me... I, also, use https://web.da-us.citibank.com when I go to Citibank via my Treo. I just tried to use the mobile version
https://web.da-us.citibank.com/cgi-b..._Id=CitiMobile but in order for me to use the ATT 8525, I had to select Cingular as my provider. Unfortunately, my provider is Sprint and after going through the prompts, I never received the text message instructions on my phone. |

The java alient would download but wouldn't install the Citi Mobile app because of something to do with certificates and such. Just for curiosity, i followed the link they sent me on my friends Blackberry Pearl and it downladed the .jad file and installed it in seconds and he was using it. Unless there is a java client for the Win Mobile Treo's, we're out of luck using this nifty app. |

Now, i have the IBM Websphere java engine on my 700Wx and after downloading the "provisioning.jad" file, it opens and then further starts downloading (what i think is) the real Citi mobile midlet, which is about 90kb and installing it. After being prompted if you want to install the midlet, i get a message that the midlet does not have a manifest. On a PPC6800 that i tried it with as well, it gave a similar error message regarding unsigned certificates. Anyway, see what you can make of it. |
