Well......Since I just got this thing about a month ago, I'll guess I stick with it. Since they sent me a new one to replace the one I originally had, it has been working very well. The first one was "buggy" and kept freezing one me and making ramdom calls to everyone in my contact list. It would also let people listen in when they called me, such as when I was using it as a modem. I'm not quite sure how it was doing it, but I assure you my boss had called me and I was talking with customer service on another cell phone and she heard every word that I said and I didn't even answer the danged thing. Talk about freeky.

I really didn't NEED anything but a phone. I went and picked out a motorola E815 which is actually a pretty good phone until you try to surf the web with it. I went back in and asked if he had something with a keyboard and he showed me something called a strobe. I wasn't impressed at all and l started looking around the room for something else. I had heard about the motorola Q, but he didn't have one, so he showed the 6700 to me.

Maybe....

I have really no issues with the 6700 but I had a 650 and like the form factor (I could use my 650 case and 2400 battery too).

Plus, it has WM5 AKU 2.5 on it (we have 2.1) and I want to see what's changed... (<--that's hardcore nerd)

If it has built in pic-mail and threaded SMS like it reportedly does that's kinda cool.

But damn is it expensive! We'll see.

I am on the fence right now. I really like the 6700, but I just had to replace my pre April phone because of BT issues. And the relpacement phone is having the same issues, but worse. Also it was manufactured on 4/29/06. So it is tempting to abandon A2DP/BT & no EVDO ring through to get a device that works great as a phone w ring through, and is quicker & more stable.

I believe there's an issue with the 6700's manufactured after a certain date that prevents them from ringing through EV-DO.
