Using Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for PocketPC Version 10.2 Build 14929 on Sprint Treo 700wx. All music stored on the Storage Card.
I often queue up a random playlist using Voice Command and saying 'Play Anything'. Then I'll often get interrupted and either 1. pause playback and let the phone timeout to screen lock, 2. screen lock directly with the red power button, 3. pause playback and screen lock directly with the power button (1.+2.).
When I attempt to resume by hitting the power button and pressing the center button to bypass the screen lock, the behavior is very intermittent. Sometimes the music will be paused or stopped right where I left off (preferred!). Other times it will present me with a blank playlist and no songs loaded (and sometimes I'll see the last played track but it will disappear in under a second, leaving the blank playlist).
Also, whether Shuffle is enabled appears random (and it seems there is a separate playlist vs playback shuffle - I wonder which one the Voice Command 'Turn Shuffle On' manipulates?).
Furthermore, when I go to the library to manually queue up the track where I left off (no Voice Command this time), it switches the default Library from 'Storage Card' to 'My Device' (where there is no music), leaving me with an empty library and forcing me to scroll back thru the menu to switch to 'Storage Card'.
This is very frustrating behavior, but even more frustrating in that it's so intermittent and random in its behavior. I'd gladly switch to TCPMP if it supported Voice Command.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone have an explanation for the behavior, or a solution?
Thanks, any input to enhance my mobile DJ would be much appreciated.
