Treo 700w WM6

Ok I'm bored and I have a 700w sitting around and I figure "hey, why don't I ask the guys at ppcgeeks a question" and here I am

.....more to the point, I think it's pretty stupid that the WX can be upgraded to WM6 but the W can not, yes I know space requirements or whatever but is it not possible to build a custom rom for it? Like a really skimmed down bare version of WM6, sort of like what TinyXP is to the regular Windows

Check the stickies at the top of the 700W/WX forum. Also WMexperts has quite a collection of stuff on this topic too

good lookin out man, thanks to u I found instructions on how to flash a custom rom to my 700w, now I have something to toy around with other than my Apache. THANKS

You can even use the official 700wx wm6 rom with the 700w.

nah I tried that, the rom wont load if the current version isn't the one it requires. Maybe u can work with it but I cant, I wudnt bother at this point
