2)But they have been read =You have already checked them.
3) so nothing new=no new messages.
You also have sms messages.
4)but all have beeen read as well. No new VM.= You have sms but you have already checked them with no new voice mail.

Your Fix is a very simple one,
It only alerts you if you have new missed calls/voicemail/sms/e-mail.
If you have already checked them it will not alert you
meaning you still have one pending.More then likely a voice mail.At the top of your toolbar you will see the notification Q located next to your
EVDO icon.Clear that of what every message is pending and alert will stop.
Sorry, hard to read/type on a Treo.

Yes, I do have emails messages and SMS messages (using Threaded SMS hack), but they have all been read. They are no longer highlighted. I just keep them on the Treo for reference.

After installing Treo Alert, the green led flashes and the sound notification goes off repeatedly. I checked, nothing new. Turned off Treo Alert, I turned off PushEffect, performed a soft reset, then turned on Treo Alert. The leds and sound notification still goes off as there was a new message.

You may be having conflict with sms hack or The notifacation icon is still seen next to your EVDO icon on your tool bar.I dont know what to tell you. It,s been downloaed over 180 times in 24 hours and you are the first having conflict with either 3rd party software. For some resion you have have pending still active...Do you have a notifacation icon present next to your EVDO icon on toolbar?---The envelope icon missed call icon.If those are present the app will alert you because it still sees pending being the "CLSID" Value. This app is not complacated at all and is hard to be tricked.
This is what it sees in your reg ,
# check the registry for any notifications
Notify = RegValueExists( "HKLM", "System\State\Shell\Notifications\Active", "CLSID" )
That value start the notifaction loop. This means you still have that value showing in your reg thus alert is active.
What detremins the voice outout being missed call or V-mail would be..

###############################################

N = RegRead( "HKLM", "System\State\Phone", "Palm Active Call Count" )
If ( N = 0 )

This can not be tricked as well.It reads your reg value and pushs the command...

Getting to the point your "CLSID" is not cleared so you still havepending message showing in your reg.

No envelope icon. That's how I normally checked for new messages, prior to running Treo Alert. I actually experienced this with TA 4.2. I didn't play with it much, but since it kept notifying, I just removed it. I figured I'd give this another chance, but I still experienced the same problem.

It's no big deal. It's a nice app, but I actually don't like the carrier logo field. I like the notification of the BT if is partnered on the logo field, so I'm thinking of writing my own app that will write the date on that field.

Well there is definitely a reg issue you are having with your device. You may want to start fresh.
The reg is a funny thing.A couple values that dont mesh can cause many setbacks in preformance of your device..From speed, battery drain even ringtone delay and ofcouse un-need softreset.

Good luck

Cool wave files. Except, it takes up allot of space. Maybe create the instructions seperate, with an option to remove it.

4.9 pro new settings screen.Ive cut the file size down to 406.6KB Which is outstanding compared to the beta build.
I should be releasing the finished 4.9 in the next couple days.
