Are these steps supposed to work with Verizon?
I get a "Error 721: The remote computer did not respond" message when the laptop tries to connect.
According to the steps above, you leave the userid/password blank. Shouldn't it be cellphonenumber[at]vzw3g[dot]com, password vzw? Or does Verizon see that the PC is running an supported O/S and not let you connect? |

Isn't anyone else as frustrated as me?
I've (and maybe ya'll, too) been waiting patiently for Verizon to support VISTA with the 700WX for VZAccess (wireless modem).
They have been posting the target availability on http://www.vzam.net/. However, month after month after month, they keep bumping back the delivery date. Now it's September. What the heck?? This is getting very frustrating. I'd prefer a realistic date that they can be held accountable to, as opposed to this nonsense "next month" propoganda that they've consistently missed. (... And the procedure described early in this thread DOES NOT WORK. I challenge anyone who can prove to me otherwise) Just venting... Thanks for listening... |

Working great for me! Except when I want to use it it always installs a new modem, so I have USB Modem, USB Modem #2, etc etc. I have to go into my modems and delete the existing one before connecting again. Then I activate modem link, connect to the computer, turn radio on, turn radio off, wait a minute, then connect to it. Anyone have similar problems with it installing a new USB modem everytime? Thanks again for the instrcutions!

Fresh install of Vista Home, new Sprint account and brand new Treo 700wx with 1.15 preinstalled, and all I get is a 678 error when attempting to connect.
Here were a couple suggestions for this error, but none have worked: http://www.junefabrics.com/palmnet/faq.php#ts633 http://howardforums.com/showpost.php...9&postcount=40 Any idea what to try next? Maybe downgrading to 1.13? Thanks! Last edited by rddt; 01-08-2008 at 04:08 PM. |
