Re: Tomtom 6 with treo 700wx
You can in fact use TomTom Navigator 6 on a Treo 700wx and it works very well. The phone itself does not have GPS so you have to use a separate GPS receiver that will communicate with the Treo 700wx via bluetooth. So, the first thing you need to do is pair the two devices by adding a new partnership on the Treo. Once you have a partnership you need to set up Com ports on the Treo to communicate with the external GPS receiver. I have mine set at Com 0. I hope this helps!

Re: Tomtom 6 with treo 700wx
beno is correct, the wx does NOT have GPS....at least not in the way you need it. The only GPS the wx has is the emergency GPS it is dedicated to tracking the phone down in emergencies (think of it like a transmitter, NOT a reciever though....only one way). You need full GPS which you do need the reciever for. That is why I opted for a stand-alone TomTom until the 800 comes out THAT will have GPS, and at that point I will 'combine' yet another device with my phone LOL!!!!

Re: Tomtom 6 with treo 700wx
I had a Treo 700wx (Verizon) for a while. Used an External Bluetooth GPS receiver and it worked fine with TomTom
Now I have a Verizon XV6800 and I've modified it so that I can use the internal GPS with my TomTom software. works great! No need to carry around an external Bluetooth GPS anymore.
