Comcast email not working properly.

I have hotmail set up as pop on my today screen as well a comcast.

Whenever a hotmail email is reveived i get it almost right away.

With the comcast emails i have to manually send/receive to check if new messages have arrived. They don,t show up automatically like hotmail. I believe all of the settings are the same.

POP accounts need to be setup on the options screen. You need to tell POutlook how often you want it to check for new mail. Like for example, you'd have to set up your Comcast account to check for new mail every 1 hour, or 30 mins., etc.

How did you setup Hotmail?

To receive e-mail as soon as it's received on the server it's basically push e-mail.

Thanks for the response. I have nothing checked on my hotmail acct. That is I dont have the box checked to check every, so many minutes. The emails come through right away.
