treo freezes when fully charged

Has anyone experiece this issue? Generally I just got a 2200 mAh battery off ebay. With this new battery the treo freezes when it hits 100% charge and I can't soft reset the phone. The only way to get out of it is to take the battery out and put it back in. Once I do that it seems everything is fine. any one have any idea what's going on? the original battery is fine.

I know it's probably the new battery but I'm hoping someone can tell me a work-around that will keep it from freezing on the new battery.

Never heard of that happening before. If you put your old battery back in and charge it for the same length of time you were for the new battery does it freeze up?

nope seems to only happen on the new battery. I'm hoping that if maybe I turning of a setting somewhere it would stop this.

Is it overheating? Are you using a different charger? I don't think there are settings that will allow you to regulate battery charging.

yeah I had a feeling that was the case. I thought maybe if i can turn off the battery meter it might stop the freezing because then there won't be anything monitoring it. But so far after I get off being frozen it's normal, no over heating and it's the same exact charger as before.

Yeah...and I doubt that the battery meter would be making anything freeze.
