Please help me downgrade 1.15 to 1.13

I got a new Sprint Treo 700wx preinstalled with firmware version 1.15 and I am experiencing this issue:

Might you be able to help me downgrade the firmware to 1.13?

Error 678 is all I get when I try to connect using these methods over USB on my 1.15 Sprint Treo 700wx (not using PDANet):

Trying the same methods on my older 1.13 Sprint Treo 700wx works just fine.

This corresponds with some of the complaints I've seen here on PPCGeeks and here:

A downgrade on te new Treo would be a great way to confirm that this is truly what broke it. Can someone help with the downgrade?
