Treo 700 Internet problem

I have a Treo 700wx that says it is connected to the internet but IE comes up with message the website can not be found...
I have looked at all the settings I could find but nothing seems wrong.

I think this occurred after I installed Google maps (since removed)

any help appreciated

Bruce

Bruce, start with a soft reset. Next, when you type in an internet address (e.g., Google) will PIE take you there? Are you storing your temp internet files on your storage card? If so, reconfigure your device so that the temp files are stored on your device. Use MemMaid or SKTools also to clean up all the files, cookies, etc.

You didn't make any changes to your Connections (under settings)? To check, go to Connections and click on "Manage existing connection". The Power Vision radio button should be checked. The number associated with it should be #777.

Next tap on Edit. The entries should say "Power Vision" and "Celluar Line".

Tap on Next. This entry should say "#777".

Tap on Next. You should have a user name in the first box. Something like, xxx@sprintpcs.com. Don't make any changes to your password. Domain box should be empty.

Tap finish and x out.

Let us know what happens.

late,
Coz

Checked all those things - all ok (except on telecom in NZ) - It is saying that the web page can not be found and yet the connection seems ok (unsure how to check)

If you recently purchased the 700wx I'd take it back and exchange it. What other apps/software have you recently loaded.

This seems to be happening with other smart phones on Sprint as well. I am expericing this as well. I have to manually disconnect my data and reconnent, and it works fine. Werid Sprint Problem!
