Re: battery life

I have been usuing more of airplane mode and saving my battery. I was sitting in a bad reception area and watched the battery percentage go down while sitting there for 30 minutes. Turn airplane mode on and waited 3 hours and the battery barely moved. Searching for the networks are killing the battery for me and I even bought a 1350 battery and right now Im not getting much more life than the OEM. I have the 2600 battery but I dont like the bulk of it so it sits in my drawer. Wish there will be a fix.

Depends on which battery you get. Seidio has 2 sizes, a 1350 ma which doesn't require a bigger back plate and a 2600 ma which does require a bigger back plate.

Edit: The stock battery is 1150 ma by the way.

One of my co-workers got one for free from Dell. Pretty neat, it's basically an extra battery.

oh have you guys seen the commercial for the external energizer cell phone battery? supposedly goes in through the power/usb port and charges or powers the phone.

Re: battery life

if you're gonna go that route you may as well go for a li-ion rechargable battery pack so you dont burn through throw away batteries. i got one forever ago for my TP and works great. will recharge the tp almost twice before having to be charged itself.

Re: battery life

well i think the number 1 thing that makes the batt go down so fast is searching for a signal.. or switching in and out of ev..

like for instance.. the other day had to take my 2 girls to the dentist.. was there for 4.5 hours.. i went from 100% down to 30% in the short time.. and thats with the 2600 mAh batt..

lol one room would roam. then the other room would be 1x. then the lobby would be a faint ev signal.. it was crazy..

but i do think the pre has a weak ant.. it switches from ev to 1x alot in my bathroom.. where as my previous 900 phones all kept ev..lol
