Are you trying to update through Data connection or Wifi? I would suggest Wifi.

And I don't completely understand the second question, when you open your launcher all your apps should be in there. What are you missing?

and its plain data connection

Sprint Nav should be on one of the launcher pages, if you swipe left or right once you open the Launcher you will get other options....As far as facebook, open up your App Catalog and DL the Facebook App form there

Try and jump on Wifi for your update and see how it works for you

No, it all depends on what you set it to

You can add your own ringtones BTW...

Go to Sounds and Ringtones (on the app launcher) and you can set your ringer volume and other preferences

I have my Ringtone Volume set like just below mid-way FYI and it rings pretty good. But try different settings out.

Well my ringer is all the way up and i can barely hear it maybe mine is a lemon!

Try a different ringtone, some are louder than others. The Pre's speakers is a little on the soft side though.

thanks man, i just noticed i had to upgrade to 1.3.1 so it louder now.
I came from a touch pro and before that I had a Treo 755 and loved it so it coming back slowly

I've had no issues with my speaker or ringtones being loud enough. Make sure your OS is up to date and check the sound preferences as there are different settings for system and rings.

Also, as Machinehead said, try a different ringtone or make your own and tweak the volume when you chop it up.
