No, it all depends on what you set it to You can add your own ringtones BTW...

Go to Sounds and Ringtones (on the app launcher) and you can set your ringer volume and other preferences

I have my Ringtone Volume set like just below mid-way FYI and it rings pretty good. But try different settings out.
