3. I got mine for 180 on ebay new. And my netbook cant make phone calls. Thats like comparing a pre to a dishwasher.
4. I tether my phone just fine, also use it was a wifi router with no problems whatsoever
5. Preware makes home-brew easier than anything even without palm or sprint, home brew is just a given when it comes to a popular device.
As for the diamond. I agree, HTC screwed me over more times than I care to mention but one thing does bug me about your writeup on the diamond...It doesnt have a keyboard.

Wow, I never thought I would feel violated! Yikes!
As a beta tester. I pay what everyone else pays for a retail phone. I am not allowed to buy it on the web. I wouldn't buy it on the Ebay anyway. I get 90 days to test them and return them.
My Diamond was the DP2..... Enough said about that. As for the apps. You are right about the apps coming up quick... Now go back and read what sprint is doing about open development. I was hit with the newest "update". When your pre's batt dies and you charge it, you will discover that you've been updated. As far as the Rocker goes. I pretty much destroyed mine. I did go on to state the fact that I like to hang my phone... I didn't realize that I was going to be hung here! The facts I was writing about were how this phone fell short of my expectations....If you don't say you are sorry for insulting me, I will turn your cell phone into a bomb..... It will detonate when you dial *6998. Did I fail to mention that I am a Designer/Contractor? I also beta for Win. Yeah I know. That makes me evil. Since I also Beta for Palm and mac, that must make me a total *****. Out of the 65 people in my group. I am the only one that complained about the buttons.. I also complained about the orange last year... That thing cost me 750.00 but it came in a suit case! Palm Gen 3 will have a larger screen. The Onscreen keyboard will be Ghost. Palm also says that they will redesign the USB port with a Dual swing door that is self closing. Another Item they agreed with was the Control sprint imposed. That should be taken of in "round 3 of open access" as dictated by congress. Also they will be going to a soft screen for the Gen3.
