Re: Pre email
related question:
http://mypre.com/palm-pre-to-have-im...il-2009271718/ Did this ever happen. If so, I would not need third party software or servers. |

Re: Pre email
I have a data share plan that my wife and I use and I have my Pre setup with push email for both gmail and my exchange account without any additional charges for the push capabilities.

Re: Pre email
You are going to have to switch to an Everything Data plan to get the Pre, so don't worry about the data package you have now. And if you have a Gmail email account, the Pre supports IMAP IDLE so your emails will be sent to you in near real-time.

Re: Pre email
Not true. You have to have one of the Everything plans. It can be Simply Everything or Everything Data, but a normal data add-on will not work on the Pre like it does with WM phones.

Re: Pre email
are you certain about that? I ask because everything I have read has indicated that if I get it from someone (not sprint) that my plan does not have to change. When the TOuch Pro first came out it was an everything only phone but I bought it form a person (not sprint) and had no problems activating it.

Re: Pre email
Even my pop3 email "pushes". I set it to retrieve emails as they arrive, and if I send an email from my home computer account, my pre notification goes off in seconds.
