Re: Post-WebOS 1.04 update homebrew app installation instructions

Well I switched to Verizon after I got the Pre, Great service but their phones suck so now I am back to the Pre. Still love it and it has lots of potential. I just did all of the above downloaded and installed the apps. Very easy and they work a definite plus. Now is there any good place to find a list of apps or download them? I don't mean the Palm one I am talking about Homebrew Apps.

Re: Post-WebOS 1.04 update homebrew app installation instructions

This is the guide I used to install homebrew: http://www.precentral.net/how-to-install-homebrew-apps
Including download time it took me maybe 20 minutes.

I do have WebOS 1.1.0

This the easiest way to install homebrews. I still use the Palm SDK though. File coaster is great when I'm not near a PC and see something new I want to try and I don't have to be in developer mode.

Did you root your Pre by entering the konami code (upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart)? This has happened to me only to find out that I wasn't in developer mode.

Re: Post-WebOS 1.04 update homebrew app installation instructions

im a donk. u guys r leet. I had windows mobile before and now i have palm pre. Palm Pre never ceases to amaze me. However, there is not much customization and the web browser sucks horribley and autoupdate on facebook, aim, gmail chatting drains battery pretty bad.

IF i install this home brew will i experience many problems like i did on windows mobile? will it be very steady like it is on the version i have now which is like 1.01. Thanks.
