using apps with classic palm

How do you use apps with classic palm? I can't figure out how to move the apps to the phone because the palm pre doesn't hotsync. I thought that I could just copy and paste... but that isn't working either because it won't allow me to copy out of the install folder on palm desktop. The program I am trying to install is resco photo viewer and explorer

You copy the original Prc file to the ClassicApps>PALM>Launcher folder on your Pre via USB connection with your PC.

*edit* Note that the "rom updater" mentioned in the link is obsolete with the most current version of Classic. Just drop the files in the folder.

okay, just one more question. when I look, I see more than just one Prc file. Do I copy all of them? or just the main one.... for example: RescoViewer.prc is the one I copied. but there are also other prc files, like: icon cache.prc, Photo.prc, tips.prc, tutorial1.prc, and tutorial2, 3, and 4. Do I need to copy those too?..... And thanks again for your help.

They are just additional related apps. Copy them if you want. example... tips.prc is probably a help file.

Re: using apps with classic palm

new question. I was able to get the program transferred to the classic palm. But my question is how do I look at the pictures on my palm pre thru photoview on classic palm? I installed photoview because I want to be able to edit pictures on my palm pre using the photoview alp on palm classic.
