I finally dropped it!!

I dropped my Pre yesterday in the parking lot. I didn't even want to look down when it slipped out of my pocket. I was relieved though when I picked it up and found that only a piece broke off from the top left of the screen portion but it's not noticable if you look at it head on. The "M" also in Palm off the back of the touchstore cover fell off and didn't notice it until last night. So now on the back is says "pal." I'll post some pics later but I was suprised it wasn't worse. All is still working fine.

Dang! Glad you're "Pal" survived the fall. I've dropped mine several times but never on concrete/asphalt.

Re: I finally dropped it!!

Was it bare or did you have any sort of hard/gel cover on it?

Re: I finally dropped it!!

It was bare. I had just removed the Zagg InvisiShield a couple of days ago. I don't know how it hit but it must have just been on that one corner because I have not other scratches or dings.

Re: I finally dropped it!!

I dropped mine a few times in the house, on hardwood, but it came out fine. Concrete is a different monster though! I am glad it is working still and no big problems.

Re: I finally dropped it!!

I've dropped it a few time at home but my floors are mostly carpet. My daughter dropped her's in the concrete garage floor once and not a scratch. I guess asphalt didn't agree with mine.

Re: I finally dropped it!!

I dropped mine yesterday on the asphalt

Result: Scratches and the touchscreen is haunted ... The application starts up by itself and sometimes I can not hang up a call ... I replaced it with a treo pro.

Re: I finally dropped it!!

You should have invested in Ghost Armor. It cost me $30 but well worth it. You have to get it installed by the ghost armor reps, not the cellphone rep at Best Buy. the corner is chipped as well but the ghost armor kept it in place. I applied krazy glue. and had no other problems. Other than that It has no scratches, and I have dropped it on ashphault atleast 3 times and cement atleast twice.
