Does the pre allow for quick dial from contacts. Is there a contact tab or page that u can just press the pic of the contact you want to call and it will call it?

You can just type the first couple letters of the person you want to call, and touch the screen, or there are several contact apps available to do what you want

Cool thanks, I guess i need to search for some apps. I'm just trying to get everything I want ready for when my pre gets here monday.

You can add contacts directly to your launcher. By default you have three launcher pages but by using WebOS QuickInstall or Preware you can add additional launcher pages. I added a fourth page just for my most commonly used contacts.
