Its tough when there are literally only 4-5 of us working their hardest at keeping the i910 community alive.

hey adryn I am running your 2.7.1 rom with m2d. thank you for that! now, I thought I would try to cook my own which I have done before for a friend's touch pro. when I cooked that rom, to start it I just had to click on BuildOS. with your kitchen, when I click on BuildOS my puter says the program has stopped running. I am running win7 64bit in case you wanna know. also when I copied over the new kitchen files for 218** and opened shell.cmd and typed the command you gave it couldn't finish the compression cause my puter was missing msvcr71.dll. That was no problem as I had the file in another kitchen, but just wanted to let you know in case you want to include it in the kitchen itself. Any thoughts on my issue?

You'll need to go through the tutorial posted. Its not the same, and you cant just jump right in.

If memory serves, hklm/software/microsoft/shell/taskbar

Limitedclock (put to 1)
Persistantclockorbattery (put to 0)

Also, if your battery meter on the taskbar is not working, post back. I have a fix and I do not know if its in the kitchen or not.

At any rate, unzip this file to your OEMDrivers directory.

Does this ROM/SYS update have the theme issue or has that been solved?

Adrynalyne 06-19-2009 12:35 PM

Re: Verizon i910 6.1 and 6.5 Kitchens Ready

No, thats why it took me so long to get it up. I had to unzip the SYS I originally made, and replace a bunch of stuff :)

It should be all good.

Re: Verizon i910 6.1 and 6.5 Kitchens Ready

I updated the kitchen per instuctions (as i did last couple of times) and tried running the click to build and get an error "temp\dump\_skip" already exists.
So i removed the OEM folder completely and when i run the click2build it crashes.

You can do a search for the _skip files in the sys folder then just delete them... You most definitely will want to put the OEM folder back... Hope that helps

Is this a valid question? in the Kitchen... What is in the Rom / Sys that we update. Everything, like your Vanilla Version?

Adryalane, are you running any Virus Scan, or /edit/ ANTISpyware program?

I have Run Superantispyware (Free) and it found trojan.Agent/Gen-iefake in the temp\dump\ folder when i build the os

I removed it, then removed the temp folder ran the scan and nothing was found.

Ran Build os and then scanned the folder and it was there again.
I will upload an image.

False positive.

Av program don't like the Windows Mobile cooking tools and files.

I was a Microsoft tech in a previous life. I also have spent a ton of time removing malware for MS and family members. I don't get viruses or malware.

You need to make the cabs in to OEMs. You can do this with OEMizer, cab2oem or package creator.
