Re: Adrynalyne's Base and M2D ROMs

I can post the cabs here if you need them.

There were changes with the bluetoothbroker between 0.9 and 1.0.

Your restore probably dropped in a dead shortcut.

Whats listed in the startup folder?

I'm guessing that is it. In my startup folder there is a EventBroker.exe file. Here is the full list:

Alarm Watcher.lnk
EventBroker.exe
iLock2.lnk
IMStartup.exe
LargeDelay_CDMACSP.lnk
LargeDisplayStart.lnk
poutlook.lnk
Shortcut to EventBroker.exe.lnk
WakeUpOnSMS.lnk

Thanks...

Re: Adrynalyne's Base and M2D ROMs

Well, I took a trip to my local Verizon store and got lucky! I think there were several factors in my favor to them replacing my phone:

- There were three people working the tech counter. Two geeky looking guys (like me), and a girl. I was lucky enough to get the girl. No offense, but I had the feeling that if I got one of the guys, they would have known what I did...

- I didn't offer up any information. I just said it won't boot. She immediately went down the road that it was probably charged for too long.

- There was an irate lady in there with a Dare that was cursing up a storm. Apparently, she was in the store for two days trying to get her Dare working right, and they were not much help to her.

Anyway, she offered to replace the phone under warranty (I didn't get the insurance). Lucky Lucky!

So, now I still want to do the new ROMs, but obviously don't want another Monahan's Brick Company special.

I'm trying to think what went wrong. Could USB 1.1 cause a brick? That's the only thing I could think of that might have been different than the masses.

Re: Adrynalyne's Base and M2D ROMs

Schenley I have heard that USB 1.1 is a no-no. A brick kiln from what I've seen. Search for "USB 1.1".

Omega Ra I have a slight problem.

I'm gonna remove and reinstall Finger Keyboard while you take a look at my keyboard. Notice that j,k and l keys have no upper or "hold" function. They do enter j, k or l if pressed, but I only get a click if held - no entry on screen. Also the only thing visible below the last row of keys is a partial key shown "EN". The functions work, IE. spacebar, enter and arrows.

Yep, remove and reinstall. The keyboard was fine until I replaced the skin files.

Still, thanks for the skins. Hopefully we'll finger it out.

Ted

You are using fingerboard 2.1 right? not 2.0? because that is what I use and it works fine for me...give me a few and I will attach my .cab, try installing from that and see what happens.
Attached Files
File Type: cab FingerKeyb-2.1-WQVGA.cab (528.0 KB, 88 views) Click for barcode!

Sometimes you say well . . .
Sometimes you say well shoot . . .

I thought I had fkb2.1 but I just checked the cab - fkb2.0.

One more time - that's what I get for thinkin'.

So did you get it working with the 2.1 cab I attached?
