Re: Adrynalyne's Base and M2D ROMs v. 1.3

As has been the case with all the past roms, 1.3 is fantastic. It's good enough that when I was in the local Verizon franchise store (not the local corporate nazi store, because I would have been killed on the spot for what I did) to get some screen protectors, I showed the guy working the new rom and he was so impressed I went to the car, got my laptop out, and flashed his Omnia for him on the spot. I think that's a pretty good testament to the quality of your work.

One issue, however, that I have noticed, is that with the new version of Windows Live, when you set it up to check Hotmail, it will retrieve the headers of the messages within the Windows Live program, but when you tap them to open the messages, it just takes you to the Messaging account list with no Hotmail account present. I have tried to manually add the Hotmail account, however, it will not let me add it by this means either. With the prior version of Windows Live that was cooked in, the Hotmail account was automatically added. To be fair, if you compare the number of issues found between Adryn's rom and basically any microsoft product, my thoughts are this probably being a MS issue.

I am running Base 1.3 with SPB MS3, S2U2, and Microsoft Live Search. No third party messaging software or any of that fun stuff.

Again, thanks for all the hard work. Most impressive!

Yeah I ran into this issue myself last night. I am looking into it. Worst case scenario, I will put the old Windows Live back in.

Thanks for the compliments :)

Actually, until I can resolve this, check this out.

You can manually setup your mail account.

I also noticed that with the samsung dialer activated both the "call Log" and the "phone book" don't link to anything. I don't know if this is even something that can be fixed since it is probably part of the Samsung dialer and not something that can be changed. But, I wanted to let you know that it's the phonebook too.

Awesome work....

Thats something I can't fix sadly, but its something you can work around. Use VJBrisk and redirect it.

Hotmail issue fixed. The OEM package I created screwed up a couple of registry settings. Fix is posted to 1st page. Let me know how it works out!

Are the orginial .exe files still in your ROM to rename? Do you know exactly what .exe files I need to rename with VJBrisk?

I take it that can't be hardcoded into the ROM...???

Re: Adrynalyne's Base and M2D ROMs v. 1.3

Yeah--there is one I am unsure of if it makes a difference, but just name the vjbrisk executable to these things:

seccontact.exe --this is the Samsung Phonebook. Redirect it to whatever. iContact is a good choice.

calllog.exe --this is the Samsung call log I removed.

plusseccontact.exe --Got me what its for.

As for vjbrisk on the rom--nice idea. Never thought of it, or had a need.

--Will do for next release.

Sorry, no.

Been swamped with studying for finals and finishing engineering projects.
