Verizon omnia I910 updated by verizon

Im not sure if this is the right spot for this thread but i know alot of your roms and kitchens are based on the original software versions that verizon pumps out. They just announced this morning that the omnia is getting another rom update through verizon. I dont own an omnia anymore but i loved it when i had it. Just thought i'd give you guys a heads up. It contains the following plus more

- Qualcomm Patch (M6801BSMBRLAZ56205) is updated. Improving overall call quality.
- Multiple Updates/Fixes applied to the Opera browser.
- Update to XT9 is applied to correct Add word issues seen by users.
- Algorithm codec has been corrected to allocate correct amount of memory when attaching a Full resolution image file to a MMS message. This will fix “Image resize Fail” seen by some users.

The article is below

The actual update site is below...

Re: Verizon omnia I910 updated by verizon

Very interesting. I was just looking at updating my old Omnia (I now have the Omnia 2 with Ninja4Hire's latest great ROM). I guess nobody has a custom ROM yet built on this.

Is this 6.1 or 6.5?

I prefer 6.5 to 6.5.x on the Omnia 2. Is anybody still cooking for Omnia 1 with builds between 21867 and 21898?

Has anybody upgraded to DC22 and if so, do you think it was worth it? Trying to decide if I want to do so as well.
Thanks.

Re: Verizon omnia I910 updated by verizon

I had to flash the cf03 update to my i910 before the DC22 update would "See" it.
I have the DC22.img file on my 4Shared folder.

http://www.4shared.com/dir/12702333/...5/sharing.html

I read somewhere that with that you can use the UMDL and not have to revert back to the official cf03.

Check out some of my ROMs. I don't know if MMS is working or not. I can't check that, but "BI" series ROMs have start menu icons form whiteblazer00.

Also I cook without Enterprize, Unless there is a request for it.

Enjoy...

Just want to clarify...is the dc22.img file in your 4shared folder is the official ROM that is usable in UMDL? I as because I downloaded the official installer but never really cared for their installers...UMDL seems to be more reliable.

That is correct. The dc22.img file came from the torrent that was posted somewhere.
Can't remember where. I haven't used it myself but with that many dnlds, no one has complained.

Hope that helps.

cac2us.
