Yeah, I seem to agree with the above posters. Just to offer some feedback:

1. The delete button works, but you need to hold it down for a second or two for it to work.

2. My keyboards don't work. Specifically, my Touch 20-keyboard cannot even be selected.
3. On the keyboards that are available, my auto-complete isn't there.
4. I can't make the app appear on my homescreen. I need quicker access to my texts, other than start--> programs--- etc.
5. It "steals" my texts from the default messenger (e.g. if I go to my inbox they aren't there, I have to run the app to get older convos). As previously stated, its a second texting app, not a default or replacement.

The interface is nice though! Looks really sweet. If the above were fixed I'd be sold.

I tried it on my Treo 700WX. Good concept but need more options . Such as a way to disable the pop-up notification when u receive a new sms. Also there should be a fullscreen option to show the top taskbar , because when this app is minimized and you hit the start button the start menu drops normally but the taskbar disappears and u can see the app in the background. Besides those bugs its still a decent app.

SMS-CHAT for UNLIMITED MESSAGING!

Threaded SMS finally on Windows Mobile!
4 February, 2008 – VITO Technology releases much expected SMS-Chat on its brand-new web site http://iwindowsmobile.com that brings threaded SMS to your Windows Mobile device. SMS-Chat is designed to give you total control over text messaging. Finger friendly interface and sparkling looks with animated menus result in extremely convenient and appealing user experience. Manage your mobile texting with a flick of a finger!

A huge SMS fan? Then you are sure to know that SMS-Chat is something the whole Windows Mobile community was longing for. Even if you send short messages just once in a while to congratulate your friends, you’ll soon find out SMS-Chat is a perfect solution for you.

SMS-Chat is a Windows Mobile SMS messenger that organizes your SMS correspondence into threaded SMS conversations. Isn’t it great to have a separate chat for every contact with whom you exchange short text messages, just like in your IM client? You can easily follow a conversation scrolling thru a chat with a finger: all messages are grouped by date. Chats with the most recent message always appear at the top.

Moreover, SMS-Chat presents a number of useful features like multiple SMS messaging, resending, forwarding and deleting messages (you can also delete the whole chat). Imagine how easy it is going to be to congratulate all your friends at once next time holidays come around. You send a single message to all of them and watch replies in separate chats.

The contact search is simplified with a filter that helps you find a contact in seconds by typing its name or number. You can also enjoy scrolling contact list with a finger.

SMS-Chat is available for $14.95 at http://iwindowsmobile.com. SMS-Chat supports English, German, French, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, and Hebrew.

VITO Technology Inc. is known for its high-tech products in the field of Windows Mobile and Symbian software, GPS navigation and custom projects. Introduced in the present article SMS-Chat is an SMS messenger that brings threaded SMS to Windows Mobile.

Chibull17, there is in a fact onscreen keyboard by VITO Technology that works well with SMS-Chat. It's ZoomBoard with a zooming lens. Check it out at iWindowsMobile.com. ZoomBoard gives you an interactive preview of letters under your finger in a popping up lens while you slide across the screen.

1. Delete button works on my Artemis immediately, so I guess if receive more like responses from HTC Touch users that you need to hold delete button to delete a message, we will need to adjust this for this device.

2. Autocomplete is a known issue and will be corrected. As for unavailbility of keyboards within ZoomBoard, you seem to contradict yourself. First you say you can't choose them, then you say that autocomplete in them doesn't work. How did you choose them in the first place if they are not available? Again, try ZoomBoard.

3. To see the application on your homescreen you might consider a newer version of GoodWin that will be soon released. This will allow you to access SMS-Chat right from Today.
In the meanwhile you can assign SMS-Chat to a standard messaging hardware button. Also, when you receive a new message there appears a full-screen notification that can take you directly into chat.

Not sure that it's advertised as a replacement, but I just don't care for it this way.
re-Map softkey to SMSChat.exe and your regular button will open it

I think this looks prety good...its fast, intuitive, and using with the FunContact program makes it even better, however....

Before I plunk down 30-40 bucks for 2 apps, I think I'll wait for the official release of wm6.1 and see what the built in SMS looks like, particularly since don't know if this will be WM6.1 compatible

Maybe a bundle price would make this more enticing for those unwilling to wait for WM6.1

the goodwin is basically just like the htc homeplugin. maybe there is way to change the registry so the txt messaging icon will point to the vito text app and fix the touch keyboard issue. oh..it also needs a simple x out button to get out of the program.

3. Download new version 1.01
4. GoodWin makes it.
5. Otherwise it wouldn't work.
